■講義■
ネイティブ・スピーカー教員の授業では、グループワークのための班編成に工夫を施し、応用可能な文法・語法の講義をもとに、討論課題について学生同士が意見交換を英語で行う活動を実施しています。
日本人教員の授業では、感性を磨くため、また英語処理能力を上げるために、易しい英語で書かれた様々な読本を多量に読ませる「多読」を実施しています。

| 英語Ⅰ－AⅠ | 90分の授業を前半・後半に分けて行う。 前半は、教科書を用い授業を行なう。 日本語による英文解釈にとどまらず、個々の音の特徴や発音のコツを実際に声に出して練習する。 後半は、「多読」を実施。 できるだけたくさん黙読することにより、英文処理能力を徐々に高める。辞書は一切使用しない。 |
英語Ⅰ－AⅡ | 前期と同様に、90分の授業を前半・後半に分けて行う。 前半は、教科書を使用。 英語子音についての発音のコツを踏まえながら、音読を中心に進める。 後半は、「多読」を実施。 前期に読み終えた冊数や読後感をもとに、Level1へとステップアップしてみる。もちろん今までと同じレベルを読み続けても問題はない。辞書は一切使用しない。 |
| 英語Ⅰ－BⅠ | The
aims of this class are for students to improve their communication skills
in English, and to have fun communicating in English.
This class has two components: an eight-week-long Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) session and speaking and listening activities in the classroom. The CALL session focuses on listening, reading, and grammar problems. Students will take the TOEIC test before and after the CALL session. In classroom work, a wide variety of relevant and meaningful speaking and listening activities will be used to maximize student interaction. Classroom work is learner-centered rather than teacher-centered, so students should be aware that they will be expected to participate actively in every class. |

aims of this class are for students to improve their communication skills

A wide variety of relevant and meaningful speaking and listening activities will be used in class to maximize student interaction. These activities help students to improve their speaking and listening abilities, increase their fluency in speaking and listening, help them gain self-confidence in communicating in English, and teach them how to use learning strategies. This is a learner-centered class rather than a teacher-centered class, so students should be aware that they will be expected to participate actively in every class. |

| 英語Ⅱ－AⅠ | 90分の授業を前半・後半に分けて行う。 前半は、教科書を用い授業を行なう。 日本語による英文解釈にとどまらず、英語の音のつながりや、それによって生じる音の変化にも焦点を当て、実際に英文を音読して、音の流れの英語らしさを身につける。 後半は、「多読」を実施。 Level1、Level2を中心に出来るだけたくさんの英文に接することで、英文処理能力の向上を図る。１冊の本を読み通す達成感と、読書の楽しみを実感してほしい。 |
英語Ⅱ－AⅡ | 前期と同様に、90分の授業を前半・後半に分けて行う。 前半は、教科書を使用。 実際にネイティブスピーカーが発音している音がどのように聞こえるか、文強勢やイントネーション、休止などに焦点を当てつつ、自分の発音の英語らしさを追及する。 後半は、「多読」を実施。 Level2の本を読んだ後に、Easy StartsやLevel1の本を読むことで、自分の能力の向上を実感じてほしい。 |

| 英語Ⅲ | 前期を前半・後半に分け、各クラスの授業を行なう。 ネイティブスピーカー教員の授業では、日常会話で用いる基本的な英語の訓練を継続する。クラス全体を数グループに分け、それぞれのグループの中で１つのテーマを決めて互いに話させる。 日本人教員の授業では、一見綴りが長くて難しそうな英単語がどのような意味を持つのかを、語源を手がかりに解読する。 |
