Community Service Overview

The Center for Nursing Education, Research and Collaboration

The Center for Nursing Education, Research and Collaboration (CNERC) was established to play a leading role in the advancement of nursing practice, research and community service in Oita. It functions as a channel between OUNHS and local, national, and global society, and makes contributions in the areas of education, research, community service, and industrial-academic collaboration. CNERC has also cooperated with the Japan International Cooperation Agency in international development projects and training programs for nursing education and practice in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Laos. CNERC incorporates six teams that have independent areas of activity and separate team members. The teams hold a joint annual meeting to review past results and plan future activities. CNERC headquarters is located in our Clinical Instruction Center in our South Oita Campus next to Oita Prefectural Hospital. The administrative office is located in our Main Campus.​
