1998- Founded as an Undergraduate School of Nursing; academic affiliation agreements with Case Western Reserve University and Pace University (United States of America)
1999- Academic affiliation agreement with Seoul National University (Republic of Korea)
2002- Founded the Graduate School of Nursing and established the Nursing Science Master’s Course
2003- Chosen as an institution of good practice in higher education
2004- Established the Nursing Science PhD Course and the Community Outreach and Engagement Center
2005- Became the first nursing college in Japan to be certified after national institutional evaluation and accreditation
2006- Reestablished as a Public University Corporation
2007- Chosen as an institution of good practice in promoting internationalization in higher education
2008- Established the first Nurse Practitioner Master’s Course in Japan
2009- Established the Health Sciences Master’s and PhD Courses
2010- Established the Nursing Administration and Recurrent Education Master’s Course
2011- Introduced the first full four-year baccalaureate nursing curriculum in Japan; established Master’s Courses in Public Health Nursing and in Midwifery
2013- The preventive home visiting practicum to older adults was chosen as a center of the community program
2015- Introduced a new curriculum with the preventive home visiting practicum and an elective school health nurse training course; accredited as a training institution for specified medical practices
2017- Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for international exchange with the University of Ulsan (Republic of Korea)
2019- MOUs for international exchange with Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (Republic of Indonesia) and Inha University (Republic of Korea)
2023- Established a short-term scholarship program for overseas training of individual students
